Český les is a mountain massif about 80 km long forming the border range between the Czech Republic and Germany, from the Domažlice part of the range to the Dyleň forest. Geomorphologically it continues the Šumava mountains, from which it is separated by the lower Všeruby Highlands. Its highest peak is Čerchov at 1,042 m above sea level.
